Challenge
Researchers visit NIGMS to find matching grants and apply for funding. This redesign streamlined the grant-matching and application process while making scientific resources more discoverable for the public.
The original site, built by my team years earlier, had navigation issues - popular internal pages lacked direct links from the landing page, making essential features hard to find. After analyzing years of traffic data, the client wanted to reprioritize content to better serve current user needs.
Results
The redesigned website features a clean, clutter-free interface, making it easier for users to navigate and access essential features. The improved workflow resulted in a 60% increase in direct through-line according to user testing. The updated website is currently being finalized in development.
